Coaches and players use those stats to analyse performance in all areas, so they improve where something is lacking. Clearly this then is one of the keys to winning performance.
The exact same thing must be done in business and networking. Statistics have to be identified to analyse performance in all areas. If you don’t know your weaknesses how can you ever improve?
One would think that the success-seeking network marketer would keep track of his or her statistics, especially their recruiting and retention numbers. But in network marketing, less than 1% keep track of their numbers.
Its essential you act professional and keep notes, to “keep score” to chart your numbers. The discipline of doing so enables you to see which areas of your business needs fixing, improvement, enhancement, etc.
Doing so will serve you well. Constantly review the number of people on your name list and the percentage of those you contact, join your team. Analyse the structure of your organisation to ensure your volume is stable. Focus on your customer base, as that’s your business development group. No customers indicate you are not open for business. Set deadlines for developing active managers. One manager every three months and in two years you are diamond? One every two months and you are diamond in 16 months. Its as simple as selection, application strategy. It’s a major self-inflicted handicap not to have an action plan and to monitor results.
If your script and delivery are effective, more than 50% of people you target, show interest. It’s a percentage game, where you must spend most of you time in the offensive. If your success rate is less than 50% you need to take a close look at your sales and marketing tools. Poor results are depressing, and only you as the business owner have the option to win the game.
The bottom line is that you MUST keep your stats when you're building your business, so that you can see where your strategies are succeeding or need improving. You have to react quickly today to trends
Way too many networkers just blindly go about their unstructured business hoping something will happen. In the business world nothing happens by accident.
